COMP Cams made a big splash during the 50th edition of the SEMA Show, picking up two product awards and being recognized at the Hot Rod Industry Alliance (HRIA) banquet for contributions to street rodding.
Each year the SEMA Show brings thousands of parts manufacturers together in the Las Vegas Convention Center, with many vying for coveted New Product Awards. This year COMP Cams collected the hardware in two prestigious categories: Performance – Racing and Performance – Street.
The valve train brand’s revolutionary XD-A Adjustable Pushrods won in the racing category, while brand new SPR Radius Tip Rocker Arms for GM LS1 and LS3 Engines were chosen for the street trophy.
Sister brand FAST was the runner-up in the Best New Performance – Street category with its Valve Timing Control Module for Ford Coyote Engines.
In addition to the specific new product awards, on Wednesday evening COMP Cams was also feted at the HRIA banquet where it was honored with the National Street Rod Association‘s 2016 Street Rodding Achievement Award.
“It means a lot to us be recognized for the hard work and dedication of each and every member of the COMP Performance Group team,” said the company’s VP of Engineering, Kevin Feeney. “They put in countless hours behind the scenes to build the company we are so proud of.”
The accolades help to further grow the COMP Cams legacy and serve as a perfect way to wrap up the valve train leader’s 40th anniversary celebration.
