Memphis, TN – On Thursday, July 10th, COMP Cams® will serve as title sponsor of the weekly Concert Cruise-In at the Fontanel Mansion near Nashville. This event will lead into the following day’s SEMA Collector Car Appreciation Day.
Every year the second Friday in July serves as Collector Car Appreciation Day – a SEMA-backed and U.S. Senate-recognized celebration of the nation’s love affair with the automobile and its unique place in history. Shows and events are scheduled around the country in recognition of the chosen day, which takes place this year on Friday, July 11th. In 2014 COMP Cams® will be a major player in kicking off the festivities by serving as the title sponsor of the Concert Cruise-In at Fontanel the previous evening. The cruise-in is a weekly event held at the Fontanel Mansion, former home of country legend Barbara Mandrell and just fifteen minutes from downtown Nashville. The cruise-ins take place from 5-8 p.m. every Thursday from May to September and draw dozens of vehicles from every era while featuring a weekly concert. The July 10th date at Fontanel was a perfect choice for Memphis-based COMP Cams® to be a key part of Collector Car Appreciation Day in the company’s home state.
“We treasure the opportunity to support and attend events like the Concert Cruise-In at Fontanel as part of SEMA Collector Car Appreciation Day,” said COMP Cams® Marketing/Media Coordinator, Trent Goodwin. “We’re very proud to be able to offer products that help our market of classic car and truck owners restore and enhance their vehicles, and it’s incredibly rewarding to get out there and see them being enjoyed and driven. It’s why we all do this.”
