The award was presented during SEMA Show in Las Vegas and recognizes a YEN member who has demonstrated exceptional service, integrity, professional growth and business ethics during the last year, as well as provided growth for their company or industry through actions, vision and/or contributions.
“Trent has actively served the growth of the Young Executives Network through new and innovative programs that have increased visibility for the group, like the YEN Live Chat program, which has absolutely blossomed under his vision,” his nomination letter read. “He’s well-known in the industry, and despite being a young innovator, is well-respected by his peers and the media he regularly works with. While he is stepping away from his role in the select committee in order to better serve his growing family, he is an example of what a successful young executive is.”
CPG COO Chris Douglas said Goodwin has been a valuable part of the CPG family since 2007, beginning as a customer service representative.
“Trent’s automotive passion is evident in each role he plays,” Douglas said. “As a member of the marketing team, he not only cultivates relationships with racers, engine and custom auto shops, and media, but also leads summer trailer tour and trade show efforts. His enthusiasm even extends beyond the workplace, as he personally coordinates a monthly cruise-in from spring to fall each year on historic Beale Street in downtown Memphis. Trent’s contributions to the industry make his recent SEMA YEN award well-deserved.”
