New technology often comes and goes, being replaced with the next latest and greatest advancement. But, Fuel Air Spark Technology’s EZ-EFI Fuel system is an exception. More than eight years after its debut, it continues to be one of the best-selling carb-to-EFI conversion systems on the aftermarket.
The system’s popularity stems primarily from its true plug-and-play design and self-tuning capabilities. A cast aluminum and black powder-coated throttle body serves as a bolt-on replacement for an existing 4150-type flange carburetor, while a few basic Setup Wizard questions answered on a hand-held unit are all that’s needed to program fuel delivery.
FAST took everything into account when engineering EZ-EFI Fuel. Simplicity was key, so they included a labeled wiring harness, fuel injectors, integrated fuel rails, and OEM sensors (no proprietary ones required) with the system. It can even be used with original carb-style throttle linkage and works with all ignition setups, including HEI.
The provided ECU requires no software for tuning, yet intuitively learns, as the car is driven, how much fuel is needed and when. There are even built-in diagnostics for easy troubleshooting.
For those who want to further fine tune the EZ-EFI Fuel system, the hand-held unit features an advanced tuner area and has several different screens for viewing live running data. It can be stowed away after tuning or mounted for system monitoring — or even as a shift light.
Simply put, EZ-EFI Fuel makes ditching a carburetor simple. The system supporting up to 650 HP can easily be installed in an afternoon and is available with an Inline Fuel Pump Kit. FAST also offers an EZ-EFI Retro-Fit Kit for multi-port fuel injected applications, with the horsepower limit based on the injectors selected. A Dual Quad Upgrade Kit with an additional throttle body and capable of supporting up to 1,200 HP, as well as an EZ-EFI Fuel kit designed specifically for 1972-1996 6-cylinder Jeeps are also available.
All FAST fuel injection systems come with a Limited Lifetime Warranty and are made in the United States.
