Memphis, TN — COMP Performance Group will be teaming up with RacinDirt.com to present the third annual Power Rankings poll for the 2016 season of US Modified Touring Series (USMTS) and US Racing Association (USRA) Modified competition.
“RacinDirt.com is one of the most comprehensive websites available for the dirt racing enthusiast,” said COMP Performance Group Vice President of Marketing Chris Douglas. “From their on-demand video to breaking news content, expert columns and more, the staff there has their finger on the pulse of the racing world. We’re thrilled to put our COMP Cams and FAST brands in front of so many who are passionate about the sport and are certain this will be a great partnership.”
The FAST Power Rankings presented by COMP Cams begins in March, with industry insiders from across the country ranking the Top 20 drivers each week and again after the final race to recognize a Driver of the Year.
Aside from bragging rights, a $1,000 prize — $500 product certificates from both FAST and COMP Cams — is set aside for the season-end top driver. The poll also serves as a measuring stick of sorts for teams to gauge overall performance.
“We couldn’t be more pleased to announce this new agreement,” said RacinDirt.com Co-owner Trenton Berry. “To align with such iconic brands is humbling. When putting the program together, we knew it was important to offer something for the drivers. The COMP Performance Group was 100 percent behind the idea.”
Power Rankings results will publish Wednesdays on RacinDirt.com throughout the season.
The USMTS season runs from Feb. 11, when racers hit the track at Shady Oaks Speedway in Goliad, Texas, to late September. The first 2016 USRA race will be May 28 at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri, and the last on Sept. 4 in Warrensburg, Missouri.
