2009 Hot Rod Power Tour - Day 1 (Madison, WI)

The CPG crew arrived in Madison, Wisconsin to kick-off the 2009 version of the Hot Rod Power Tour. Despite a little rain in the afternoon and dropping temperatures throughout the day (high of in the mid-50's), day 1 saw a great turnout of over 2500 Long Haulers and thousands of enthusiastic local fans in attendance. The impressive displays, multiple contests and thousands of active participants made Day 1 nothing short of exciting.

One of the more exciting parts of the day was watching the Long Haulers put their vehicles to the test on the timed race course as part of the Street Challenge. A big crowd watched in amazement as everything from Pro Street cars to 4x4 trucks vied for the lowest recorded time.

After a long but exciting Day 1, the CPG crew is now back on the road headed toward Racine, WI to see what Day 2 has in store.
