After a wet and cold start to the day, the "Car Gods" smiled down on the Power Tour as the sun popped out and the temperatures moderated slightly. With a beautiful setting in Downtown Riverfront Park right on Lake Michigan, the local community came out in full force to welcome the Power Tour participants & manufacturers. And of all the cities we have visited throughout the years with the Power Tour, it's quite possible that Racine will go in the recordbooks as the most hospitable.
In addition, Racine saw the biggest turnout (3500+ cars) of any stop in the history of the Hot Rod Power Tour. Various sponsors put on exciting exhibitions, and the crowd was intrigued by the multiple interviews conducted with industry greats and racing legends. And as the sun set down over Racine, all who participated in this spectacular event realized that they were a part of Power Tour history.
