You will still need to have some sort of cam sensor to keep sequential. GM makes a hall cam sync that came in the newer Vortech 496 big blocks, you can leave your MSD distributor ther and take the cap off and make a cover for it. You can always drill the cam gear for a magnet and mount a pickup there.

There is no real answer for this question, there are several ways you can keep a cam sensor working.
