Default 700R4 Help
I am restoring a 68 Nova, I will be dropping in a 396 BBC (60 over now) that is getting a fresh rebuild. I have a low milage 700R4 that I want to install - I would like to have the overdrive to cut the RPMS, I will be running 373 rear gears. The trans has 0WCM071B stamped in the case. I am not sure which flex plate I need, the rotating assembly will be balanced as part of the engine rebuild. Do I need a flex plate with weights - or without? Which converter would be recommended? My engine builder is recommending 2200-2400 stall. Its a street car, 99% of the time.
