700r4 lock up fault

hi im looking for some help with my 700r4,ive fitted a tci constant pressure valve body,whichs works perfectly.The problem ive got is i can not get the convertor to lock up,ive tryed fitting another good used convertor and ive replaced the solinoid in the gear box and its still not working,ive checked the electrics and its got 12v at the solinoid but it still doesnt lock up.Is there any thing i can check on the valve body before i buy a new convertor.thanks ricky:

It almost sounds like the transmission was built for a non lockup circuit? Was your trans ever rebuilt before? Some people will have them rebuilt for non lockup, and the input shaft and pump is slightly different. Also make sure your 4th gear pressure switch is working in the valve body. That is what tells the system to lockup in 4th gear (senses pressure when in 4th).
