Default 8 in converter 254011 Questions.
i am looking at TCI part # 254011. i have a 1984 S10, back half 4 link, 9 inch ford 4:88 gears, powerglide with the ATI compu-flow transbrake...496 BBC with Edelbrock Vic Jr. 26 degree heads, 2.30 int 1.88 exh, 748 roller cam, eagle 4.25 stroke crank, JE 14:1 domed pistons, topped off with the Vic Jr. 454R intake and a 1050 Davinci dominator that flows 1200 cfm.
weighs in the neighborhood of 2400 lbs.

my question: would this converter be a good converter for my combo?

What rpm are you going to turn this motor? Are you at a high altitude?

That converter would stall a little too much in your application. We'd recommend a 254003 for your application. It's an 8" converter as well. It will stall around 5500 in your application and will have improved torque multiplication than the 254011.
