Another Help me Identify Ford 2V cam thread.

I have a 2001 gt, has PI engine and im doing a refresh on the built motor, was told it had comp cams when i bought it, but lost the info.

Cam has a series of numbers on it... i'll post up the numbers from pass side head, they look just like this.

9268/9268
EHR115
C6549

and the end of the pass side cam has 14B stamped on the cam gear end. Drivers side cam has 15B stamped in the same spot.


Please help, i am planning on having heads ported while i have it apart and need to know if i need to step up to larger cams or not as the car has a novi 2K on it.

I called the tech line earlier today and they gave me different specs... Unless I just misunderstood him...

I am going to believe that the info you gave me is correct as something may have been lost over the phone. Car has a novi 2k on it and he also said the cams were more of a turbo grind... Can you give me your opinion on that..?

The specs I sent you are for sure correct (based on the numbers provided above). The cam grind is a bit more of a turbo grind than a blower grind though it will work for a blower it is jut not optimal. For a Centrifugal setup like the Novi blowers it would be best to feed it a bit more exhaust duration.

Pretty much exactly what he said... Said it would build a little excess pressure in the cylinders..
