Well first I will need to know how much compression is in the motor and what type of heads you plan to use?

The 280H Magnum would work OK for you and sound pretty good but I would suggest the XE274 part number 11-246-3 over the Magnum cam. The problem will be your low compression ratio. The XE274 will not have as much overlap and will help save a little more cylinder pressure. The XE cam is a newer more aggressive design and will make better power and torque. It will still have a good sound but just a little less lope than the 280H magnum cam.

It will sound pretty good for sure. You will just be giving up some power and torque. It will also hurt vacuum a little.
