Default BBC Hyd Roller Cam ?
I would like to know if the 11-443-8 cam needs to have the bronze gear installed on the distributer? I have the MSD 85551 Billet Distributer with the gear that came with the distributer
What would the grind # be with the11-443-8 specs on a 11-000-9 core with the pressed on cast cam gear? I have Stock cam journals and will be using your roller lifters #887-16

I looked at your roller cam codes a came up with
Core 11-000-9 Grind # CB3347/3348 110 i am unsure of the journal code and lifter code

Thanks for any input Craig

Craig,
I would recommend using the composite gear over the bronze gear. And yes sir, it would be 11-000-9 with Grind Number CB 3347B/3348B 110+4. And I would also recommend using the 854S-16 lifters..

What does the +4 designate
Why do you recommend the 854-16 lifters over the 887-16 lifters?
Thanks Craig

The +4 designates that there is 4 degrees advance built into the camshaft, which is what the 11-443-8 has built into it. And the 887-16 are currently out of stock to begin with, but the 854S-16 is a better lifter and based more for High Performance Street Applications.

The 854S-16 is a higher quality piece than the standard 854-16 and will not be as noisy as the 887-16 on the street. It is also designed to deal with more serious high performance street applications and should work very well for you.

The part number is 854S-16. It is a newer part so it has not made it onto the website yet but I will get that fixed. You can order it direct from us over the techline (800-999-0853) or through any of our retailers if you prefer.
