It sounds like you have the wrong gear. You probabaly need the 82009SG gear wiht your bottle valve style.

Default Opener gears
Aaron I have sent pics of my set up and have not heard back.Even on the box my system came in shows the deep (tall gear) that I think I need. The two I have been sent are too short. They are even shown in the install instruction on the Zex website.Who else do I need to contact to try and just get what I need?Or help me understand why this is such a issue. This may not be the right place to post this but it seems the rummors of Zex customer service are coming true for me!I am a member of several forums and noone can figuire out what the problem is.Waiting for a reply Thanks

If you sent those pictures to my e-mail I not see where I have recived them? Please send them again so I can take a look at the issue. Take as many pictures as you feel you need to show the problem you are having. We have only ever produced 2 gears one short and one long and you have tried both with no luck so I would like to insure that we are indeed talking about the same thing here. I have even checked with the ZEX engineer that designed it to insure those were the only 2 gear options. If you have a picture or a link to the gear you say it looks like you need please send that as well. Are you using a ZEX bottle and valve? My e-mail address here is amick@compcams.com and I will be looking for you e-mail.

Default Opener Gears
Aaron I have left a message on your voicemail with my phone number,Feel free to call anytime. The two gears I have from you one is 9/16th of a inch tall and the other one is 3/4 of a inch tall. Both too short to work on my ZEX tank and opener. Please refer to fig.3 on the install instruction and on the side of the box my zex kit(82177) came in to see the taller gear.

Default No response
Aaron I guess your silence means you are tired of dealing with me.I see you have been on the forum today but no response again to me.I have sent pics and links and my phone number on your voicemail with again no response.I will be making calls to Zex and comp until I get someone to exsplain to me why no one cares that I spent over $1000.00 for your product and you will not help me with a ten dollar piece that is all over your advertising in pics.ForumZ and Mopar nation and LX forums will hear about the silent treatment I have gotten.Nitrous Outlet I am sure will be happy to sell me what I need if I have to buy a new opener and will respond if I have a issue. The rumors of sorry customer service are real. This will be the last thread on this,Will wait all day on hold till I talk to someone over you! THERE IS A PICTURE OF THE GEAR I NEED ON YOUR INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS!!!!LOOK AT MY PICS THEN LOOK AT THE INSTRUCTIONS! DONE!

Jerry the reason you did not get a response yesterday was I don't have an answer for you yet. We were closed monday and of course over the weekend so I simply have not had time to go out and physically look for a gear for you myself. Nobody has ignored you. I have spoken to you multiple times and sent you one other gear out already to try and as I stated to you before I did not recieve the pictures the first time you sent them. I also mentioned before that you did not leave me an area code when you left your phone number on my voicemail. Unfortunately I have multiple other customers that need help as well and I try to balance my time between getting everyone taken care of. I will however get you something today as soon as I can.

Jerry I have the gear you need. After reviewing your pictures your bottle opener is not an old style bottle opener as stated. It is the new style but you have the old style gears. This is what has created the confusion. If I may ask, where was this kit and bottle opener purchased from? Was the opener new when purchased? You may contact me via the forum or e-mail or over the phone.
