Default Brandon McReynolds Wins UARA-STARS Dillon Race
Brandon McReynolds has overcome his engine problems in a big way. He showed up at Dillon Motor Speedway on Friday having good practice times. He was on top of the board most of the day. Young Brennan Poole takes a late run before the rains came and topped McReynolds ending up with the fastest practice time for Friday.

Poole follows up his Friday action with the KLB Race Car and Parts outside pole at 16.168 on Saturday. Jamey Caudill bests him on the outside pole at a 16.138. Caudill is on a streak after winning the last event at Tri County.

The action began with the Pro Challenge cars running a thirty five-lap event. Kyle Benjamin sat on the pole but it was Stephen Bergh who led every lap from start to finish. Benjamin ran second until lap eight at which point Meghan Dillner took that position from him. They finish was Bergh, Dillner, Benjamin, Trevor Edwards, Ryan Heavner, Kyle Wilson and Chris Brown.

Street Stocks hit the track next with Kent Harper on the pole. They ran a 30-lap event with Harper coming home as victor followed by Chad Lockamy, Chris Peele, Randy Hall and Chris Womack as the top five.

Four cylinder cars hit the track after the Street Stocks. Bailey Miles starts from the pole and will retain the lead throughout the race. Kevin Jackson, Toby Milligan, Robert Tighe and Emory Herring will be the top five four cylinder finishers.

UARA-STARS hit the track as the finale and the action will be as strong as ever. Brennan Poole will lead the first lap. Jamey Caudill will lead the pack on lap two. The first caution will fall on lap 28 as the cars of Paddy Rodenbeck, Scott Turlington and Paul Bryant all spin in turn four. Rodenbeck has serious damage and will have a short night. The field will be given the red to allow time for the track crew to clean up the track.

Back to green Caudill will be out front but for only a lap as Brandon McReynolds makes the move on him on lap 35 taking the top spot. McReynolds is strong and will not look back as his car sets sail. It was not a runaway by any means but he held his lead with a strong command.

Caution two will fly for a short time for the spin of Clint Mills in turn two on lap 57. The next caution will be when Joey Bryant has contact with the back stretch wall on lap 75. Hats off to Joey for his efforts this week. Bryant is building a new car but it was not complete for Dillon. He borrowed a car from a local team to be able to compete. They worked diligently to get the car race ready, numbered etc for Joey. Even though Joey didn’t get to run the entire race he will come home with the B Square Janitorial award for starting and finishing in the same position.

McReynolds will remain in front followed by Caudill, Matt McCall, Richard Boswell II and Owen Kelly as the top five. The field is tight and Brennan Poole who had a stop and go penalty earlier in the race is moving on up through the field. Poole will move back up to fifth place before engine woes will end his night. Poole will receive the G Force South Shift of the Race award for his efforts.

John King II glazes the wall on lap 110 and heads for the pits. Just a few laps later he is hard into the first turn wall and the final caution/red will be shown for the night. King will receive the Aluminum Racing Products Hard Luck Award for the night.

McReynolds will continue his lead but not without a good battle with Caudill, Boswell, Kelly and Garrett Campbell. It was a severe battle right to the checker with McReynolds coming home victor with his new Kowalsky Machine powerhouse under the hood.

Young Dylan Presnell who started 13th came home 10th to claim the UARA Rookie of the Race.
