Default C4 Direct Drive?
Hello,

I was browsing your product catalog and came across the C4 Pump Drive system to eliminate the torque convertor in a C4 (PART #515000). This seems to be exactly what I am looking for, as my wallet currently is not allowing me to switch to a manual with a triple disc setup.

Reason for wanting to switch is because I am getting eaten alive off the corner, with these guys with manuals and triple discs, and figured this was the cheapest, lightest way to go.

I showed this product to a few local builders around here, but most of them are unfamiliar with Ford type transmissions for circle track racing. Obviously, I figured there would be no better source then to try here from the people who make the product.

I don't know what the "special" valve body is, thats required. I already have a full manual valve body in it right now, just not sure what all is needed to do this conversion.

Any help is appreciated.

-Tony.

Tony,
To use that direct drive in that transmission you will have to drill and tap the front pump and use a ball valve to bypass line pressure so you can stop and take off. We do not offer any info on this procedure but there is plenty of guys who do this still to this day. feel free to call or email with any further questions.

Thanks

Russ

Do you by chance happen to have any knowledge, or contacts that you might be able to direct me in, to get help with this setup?
