Default Cam Card help
installing cam 68-232-4
Grind # - A6 X4 250H-13

The cam card that came with the cam states valve timing @ .050
Degreeing the cam doesn't match up with the cam specs @ .050. It does match up @ .006

What's the deal? Did I get the wrong cam grind or is the cam card wrong?

If your cam card is marked @ .050 then it is a misprint. The numbers on the card are given a .006. At .050 the numbers should come out close to the ones below. Also, just so you are aware, checking the open and close events will almost never come out perfect which is one of the reasons we recommend using the intake center line method for degreeing a cam instead.

THESE SPECS ARE FOR CAM INSTALLED AT 110 INT C/L

INT OPENS 7- BTDC INT CLOSES 33 ABDC

EXH OPENS 42 BBDC EXH CLOSES 10- ATDC

Thanks Aaron

We thought it was a typo, but wanted to make sure.

Aaron,

Do you have numbers on INT open ATDC and EXH closes BTDC?

It would be the same 7 and 10 numbers just drop the negative sign off of them.
