Default Cam Recommendation
I am looking at Getting a Recommendation on a camshaft.
My Current Combination is...

GM 400 block 4.165 Bore
Eagle 3.875 Stroke 4340 Crank
Eagle Stroker 6" H-Beams with ARP2000 Bolts
JE 3cc Dome Pistons
The heads are Brodix Track 1X 2.125/1.60
Lift Intake Exhaust
.200 131 88
.300 193 124
.400 252 164
.500 289 187
.600 313 203
.700 334 215
.800 336 226

The Cam is a Howards 264/274@.050 with .680/.630 lift
using the 1.6/1.5 Shaft rockers I have it is a 107 Lobe Angle

The intake is a Fully Ported Super Victor with a Dominator Flange
The Carb is a Pro Systems 1100 Dominator and the headers are 1 7/8" Primary Tube with 3.5" Collectors

I think there is alot more in a cam swap. Looking for a Solid Roller of course..
I have been told I need more everything esp Lobe Separation Angle.?
I was highly Recommended by a Shop.. Automotive Machine and Performace.. In Kentucky.. Thanks

What is the compression ratio in the engine? What transimission are you using? If it is an automatic how much stall converter will you have? What is the weight of the vehicle this is going in? Is it a drag race application? How much RPM do you want to turn the engine?

The motor has 13.5 Compression. It is a Drag Race only Application.
The Truck weight is 2865 Full of Fuel with me in it. It has 4.88 gears
29.5x10.5W tires. I am running a Powerglide Transmission with a Transbrake (1.76 1st Gear.)
The converter is an Edge 9.5" Converter that stalls 5600 on the converter and drops back to 6000 on the shift from 6500. With the new cam I am willing to shift as high as 7500.
I want to make an Honest 700HP.

I have sent you a PM with the cam recommendation. Really the forum was not meant for recommendation but that is not a problem. We just didn't want it to clutter up the forum with a bunch of recommendations making the technical question hard to find. Let me know if you need any thing else.
