Default carb jetting and a/f numbers
Is there a percentage or a way to ball park figure a jet change based on numbers from the a/f reading. For example sbc, naturally aspirated, carb'd race engine... lets say i make a pass on it and it has an a/f reading od 11.5 to 1 . ball park.. how many jets sizes smaller would i need to go. I know it all depends on the variables but i was just wondering if anyone had an example . Im going to the track this weekend and would like to know what to expect. thx tim
its a barry grant race demon carb.

4 jet sizes is usually 1 a/f ratio from what I have found on Older Chevys. Ballpark but works.
