Default Changes Afoot For 2010 Camaro
The Camaro has been in production for less than a year, but it has already seen a special edition and plenty of speculation. Other than a few hiccups with rubbing battery cables and potential transmission troubles, the Camaro has had a pretty smooth launch. The car is bound to evolve, however, and it is already shedding a few parts it started out with.

According to Camaro5, a few parts and options are being shelved for the foreseeable future.

The biggest news is the end of the Transformers Edition Camaro. This was the first special edition for the Camaro, and it really lacked any form of advertising as it was launched in the midst of GM’s bankruptcy. The Transformers Edition was basically all badges and wheels and emblems, and the film gave the car an extra bit of exposure. You have until January 12th to order a Transformers Edition Camaro before production ends forever (or at least until Transformers 3).

As for other cancellations, Aqua Blue Metallic will no longer be an order option. As of September 23rd, Aqua Blue was the second least popular choice after White, which was not an option from the onset of production. Just 1,415 of the 50,000 some-odd Camaros sold were Aqua Blue, or about 4.0% of total production (the most popular color by far was black, with 25% of the share).

The high wing spoiler option will also be canceled. The only explanation is that there were a number of issues with the spoiler. The high wing will be replaced in 2011 with a new version. We will no doubt that we'll see a bevy of new special editions in the future.
