Hello,
The easiest way to check to verify if the IAC motor is working, is to go into the "idle speed vs coolant temp" screen and command a high idle and if the engine goes up in rpm, then the IAC function is working. There will be a max rpm that IAC will only raise the rpm to because of the size of the orifice in the throttle body. Please let me know if this helps.

thanks,

tried that and got no response, I even unplugged it while the motor was running and saw no change in idle speed. If I pull the IAC off and turn the key on/off should I see the iac cycle/move? Can I use a volt/ohm meter to check the voltages in the four wires going to the iac? If I ohm out the IAC what would the readings be?

you need to send the ECU in for inspection. You cannot unhook the IAC plug and plug it back up while the engine is running, it will damage the iac chip everytime. Please call me direct @ 877-334-8355 to get an RMA and the shipping address.

thanks,
