Default COMP Performance Group™ Companies To Sponsor 2010 Engine Masters Challenge
COMP Cams®, RHS® and FAST™ are proud to sponsor awards for the 2010 Engine Masters Challenge

The 2010 AMSOIL Engine Masters Challenge presented by Popular Hot Rodding is sure to showcase some of the most powerful and cutting-edge engines ever built. Last year, five of the six finalists used COMP Performance Group™ products to beat the competition. And as the 2010 contest nears, it's already clear that many of the most prestigious names in the industry will again be competing with COMP®, RHS™ and FAST™ products.

During this year's event, COMP Cams® will sponsor the Camshaft Award, RHS™ will sponsor the Cylinder Head Award and FAST™ will sponsor the Fuel Injection Award. Other CPG companies such as Quarter Master™ and TCI® will participate as contingency sponsors as well as award scholarships to working students. COMP Cams® will also be sponsoring the event's award banquet.

The 2010 Engine Masters Challenge will take place October 4-8 at the University of Northwestern Ohio campus in Lima, OH. This year's theme of "Taking It To The Streets" is sure to produce a wide variety of innovative engine building ideas that will be put to the ultimate test on the dyno.

Considered by many to be one of, if not the most, prestigious engine competition ever held, the Engine Masters Challenge allows only normally aspirated, gasoline powered, domestic V8 passenger car engines produced by AMC, Ford, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Pontiac, Oldsmobile and Buick. Power adders such as superchargers, turbochargers, nitrous oxide and other devices are not allowed, nor are any methods of artificially heating or cooling engine fluid, fuel, etc. With fuel injection only in its second year in the Engine Masters Challenge, look for builders to use the latest FAST™ products to edge out the competition.

While 2009 saw the largest variety of engines ever in the competition, it remains to be seen exactly what the 2010 teams will produce. One thing is certain; the competition will be fierce as some of the industry’s leading names compete to produce the most inventive and powerful engines being built today.
