Default couple questions.
i've been running the 82021 kit for about a year, no problems. have a couple questions though.

what are the actual capabilities of this kit? i see the advertised rating is 55-75hp. will this kit be able to supply a 125-150 shot? are the nmu's all the same between the universal efi kits?

and second, i've noticed that if the car has been sitting out in the the sun for 6 hours or more, the nitrous solenoid will not open, only the fuel solenoid will open. it takes about an hour of either driving the car, or parking the car in shade, for the nitrous solenoid to start working.

normal?

Yes, the NMU's are the same, we just use the lower jetting for the smaller kits. The NMU will support over 175hp. That sounds like it is seeing too much bottle pressure to open the solenoid. Our solenoids will not open if the pressure is over 1150 psi, and sitting in the sun, the pressure can go over 1200 psi very fast.

im not sure that it's a pressure issue, even if the gauge is reading 900psi, if the cars been sitting in the sun for a while, it wont open the nitrous solenoid.

and on another note, after parking in shade/driving for an hour, it will open the nitrous solenoid with pressure up around 1250 even.
i think whatever safegaurd that is in the NMU to prevent high pressure no2 solenoid opening, is malfunctioning.
it seems to only be affected by heat, and disregard the pressure.

I am just shooting in the dark here, and I have never encountered anything close to this before but, the only thing I can possibly think that may have an effect on the nitrous system by sitting in the sun would be battery voltage. I know it sounds a little odd, but so does the issue. In extreme heat and cold, the battery can see huge losses in the surface charge, then once you drive it around, or the body of the battery cools off, it comes back to standard voltage. The solenoids are very dependant on constant voltage and may be seeing enough of a change to make them unhappy. Like I said, this is a shot in the dark, but take your battery to a reputable place to have the battery deep cycle charged and see if that changes anything. If that doesnt help, please email me at whood@compcams.com and we will work with it from there.
