Default Dual Wideband?
Is There Anyway To View Real Time Data On The PC From The Dual Wideband Monitor? Its Hard To See Whats Going On With The Small Screen. We Have This On Our Superflow 901 And I Would Love To Be Able To Veiw This Through Windyn But The Cost Of Being Able To Do That Is Crazy. We Have A Dual Monitor Setup On The Dyno So I Could Veiw Windyn On One Ane AF On The Other. Thanks

I agree for dyno work, you really need to be able to take your time and look at the results. I also agree it is way too expesive to add additional analog channels to the SF901 since it just wasn't made for that.
Here is what you could do. If you upgrade the meter with the RPM module, it adds some cool features.
1. you can log rpm with your pulls, easiest way is to plug the supplied MSD cable into your dyno ignition box like a 6 AL for whaterver. Then you don't have to move wires ever.
2. has a logging trigger you can set to a certain rpm, so you can arm the logging and it will start when you pass the set rpm.
3. it adds a slow playback mode the meter for playing back the logs.
4. allows you to be able to download the free software (FASTview) from our website. This will allow you to download a recorded log from the meter to your computer! You can view them on gauges and on a graph on screen. You can also Zoom in and Overlay 2 different runs. Also, you can save runs to your computer for later reference. It won't let you monitor the realtime data during the run, but you can view the data after you have downloaded it from the meter to your pc.

I know the price is cheaper that any other route and it just plugs in.
Good luck.

Thanks For The Reply. I Already Have All Of That. Although I Do Need To Order A New Cable For the Rpm Module As They Don't Hold Up Well To Hot headers. I Already Log My Runs And All That. I Wish I Could Modify My Box So I Could Read Real Time On A Big Screen. The First Few Pulls Can Be A Little Scary Trying To Watch The Little Screen To Make Sure You Don't Get Lean Rel Fast As Can Happen.
Thanks

Unfortunately, there is no way to do that with that meter. I just didn't have enough pins to allow it, so there are some shared pins that would need to be used at the same time. I would like to see just how many people fall into that situation, really. I would love to develope a stand alone data acquisition unit that would allow guys to have a seperate system to log things on that won't fit on their dyno system.

That Would Be A Good Deal For Us. I Also Realize That It Probly Wouldn't Be Cost Effective For You To Do That. There Just Isn't Enough Of Us Out There To Make Something Affordable Unless You Could Make It A Dual Use System Maybe With A Add On Module? Maybe Someday?
Thanks

Yeah it would be hard sell, but you never know. I just wish Superflow would add the extra channels to their 901 dynos. It was a really simple mod to do and only really required new eproms to be purchased. The mods to the board were simple to do. I guess they just really just want to get everyone on their new stuff and obsolete the older 901.
There is another way you could go. There are alot of companies that sell data acquistion modules you can just plug into your usb port. They come with some simple software and let you log some analog channels. They are pretty cheap. I'll look and see if I can find some I used to look at. You could have their software on one monitor and Windyn on the other. You could run the analog outputs of the wideband into the USB module and be done.

OK check this out. $50 bucks. You get the little module that plugs into your usb port and adds 8 analog channels and some digital I/O also if needed. It comes with a couple of free softwares that let you record and veiw live data. Not the best software since it only looks like it shows everything in a trace rather that gauges, but it lets you scale things so you can have it read the correct units. Pretty basic, but this would work.
If you can program, the sky is the limit. They give you drivers so a person could write their own software and make exactly how you want it.

Thats Cheap Enough. I'm Not A Computer Programer By Any Means I Know Just Enough To Get Myself In Trouble. I can Install And Run Thats About My Limit. Would You Or Do You Know Someone Who May Be Able To Help Me Through This As Far As Software Programing And Calibration?
Thanks

I would give you a hand on my own time. I could help you make sure eveything is setup and running ok with the software they give you and the a/f meter. It should be fairly easy. Maybe this would help others, too. I can't count the number of times guys wanted to connect their a/f meter to their 901 and couldn't.

For custom software, the first thing I would do is see if they have a forum for their products. Alot of times guys will write some software and post it for others to use.
