Lightbulb Dumb luck or more work than it's worth?
I just bought a new in the box c-4 TCI tranny and I am interested in some tech info. I found this on craigslist advertised as a T-5. When I got there, the guy had no idea that it was actually an automatic versus a manual. He picked this up by doing some construction work for a guy that was going to put it in his mustang but instead traded it for some construction work. So, I snatched it up fof $275 including the bellhousing.

I have a 65 Mustang with a 3 speed manual and was going to swap out for a T-5. But with this good fortune I am thinking of slapping the c-4 in. Before I do, I a need a little info about what I got and whether it is compatible with a HiPo 289

Here's what I know about the tranning....

It is a c-4 part number 512506 On the TCI web site it says it is a C4 Trans-Brake Transmission 70-82 Pan-fill Reverse Shift Any idea what I have here and whether it's an easy swap for a manual?

If that mustang has a manual in it know you will have to move the cross member and change the drive shaft for the swap. You will need a reverse pattern 3speed shifter for that trans brake C-4. That trans is good for about 450hp. feel free to email, post or call with any further questions.

Thanks
