Default Engine does not start while cranking
The engine will not start until I release the key from crank. I tried running the 12v switched power straight to battery with no luck. Any ideas?

I am running the XFI in batch fire with a 6AL and MSD disrtibutor. Once running, there are not any issues and just about have the car tuned. It does take a few crank cycles to start but I have to hit the revs just right since it will not start while cranking.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

A couple of questions.

What is your voltage during cranking?
Does the inj LEDs light up during cranking?
Do they stop? If they do does the Crank LED just start blinking?

What is your actual A/F during cranking?

Volts drop to 10.3.

A/f goes completely lean to 15.94.

Injector lights flash alternately, crank stays lit through cycle.

what is your TPS% as you crank?
Have you tried different amounts of throttle to get it started?
What is the timing at 99kpa and 500rpms?
in your system configuration what is the crank to run RPM?

Brian,

Thanks for the input, I found the issue tonight. I had the 12v switch on accessory instead of ignition therefor, when key was in crank position, the power was off.

Again, thanks for the input.

Kenny
