Default EZ EFI - engine won't fire
I have a roadster with a 327ci. I have a DUI distributor and just finished the install of my EFI. I think I may have made a fatal error and would like some feedback from you folks, as I haven't been able to get anyone from fuelsparkair.com to reply nor answer their phone.

I originally hooked the tach pickup directly to the DUI tach output. The engine backfired once through the carb, but at least I knew I was getting good spark.

I check the wiring and during the installation I had crossed a distributor wire. Got that fixed, but know I can only get it to rumble, it will not fire, even when starter fluid is applied.

Do anyone have information as to whether or not I fried something in the ECU and whether or not there is something can check.

Not being able to get tech support to respond to emails or answer the phone, I haven't got a clue where to start.

You should be able to call the 1877-334-8355 and get a tech person during normal business hours. There are about 20 or so guys in that division.
But anyways, if you hooked the tach input wire of the ECU directly to the TACH output of an HEI or DUI version of distributor, you most likely damaged that circuit. It will only take 1 ignition pulse to do it as that voltage is very high (100 volts) compared to the 5 volt signal it is expecting. This is what the TACH Adaptor was designed for to convert that signal down and isolate the ECU from the noise.
What you can try is just turn everything on and go the the LIVE DATA screens of the handheld and look at RPM. When you crank the engine it should show a few hundred, if not, there is no RPM or TACH signal getting to the ECU. If you need to send it in for repair, call the number above, explaing what happend, and get an RMA number.
