Default EZ-EFI Impresses Yet Another Tuner
After double checking the install and flashing the new firmware. I simply started with the new base tune and fired it up. Wow, the car had alot more cam than the customer originally led me to believe. Honestly, upon hearing the cam, I was a bit worried if this system was going to handle it.

I had to feather the throttle till warm and spent some time on throttle plate setting and TPS relearn. Idled at 1200 RPM. Set the rest of the parameters, and went for a 2 hour drive. Country roads, half mile long 6 percent grades, in town, and then did five WOT runs, cruises like a daily driver with a bark. Finally set down to a couple of "out of the box" full-on runs, had to back peddle the thing multiple times to get it under control. WOW... I'm impressed.

Went over this morning and fired it cold, not a single problem. Kicked off and idled at 1400 RPM, built some temp dropped to 1200 RPM and went for a drive. A VERY HAPPY CUSTOMER.

Combo:

1969 Dodge Cornet full dress.
440cid
Cam ? (customer wouldn’t tell. I would guess some were in the high 230s to low 240* at .050 and on 110 or 108 LSA)
10.5 to 1 compression
EDDY aluminum heads
1 7/8 pri 3.5 collectors 3 in. tubing
3.55 gears

My hats off to everyone at FAST. You guys have done a great job on this system. To think a self tuning unit can handle this much cam is amazing. I am sure there is more potential in this engine but it would take me hours to get it with a traditional EFI system and a laptop, let alone the time it would take to build a tune by hand to equal what the EZ-EFI did in a very short time.

GREAT JOB!

Best Regards

I like the idea for a self tuning system, as long as it also allows one to run in a manual tune mode. Best of both worlds imo.I expect that an automatic tune mode would be desirable for a car that sees wide variations in altitude, temperature, and pressure.
When I get around to upgrading my fuel injection system, this is going to be on my "consider" list for sure.
