Default ez efi retro fit kits
Hi i'm trying to get some info on the new retro fit kits i'm currently running an edelbrock pro-flo efi kit on my 347ci sbf stroker(93 5.0HO based roller cam motor) that no longer runs due to a dead ecu . the kit i have has all the basics in place already but i don't want to pay the $2000 they want to upgrade to their pro-flo 2 system but would much prefer a more reliable system to run the parts i already have fitted what i need to find out is will the ez efi system fit and run the sensors ? the IAC is ford but most other sensors are GM bar the tps which is magnetti marelli . also the system runs a hall effect distributor would i need a new distributor ?
thanks in advance
mark

Do you want to run an EZ EFI or an XFI system?

XFI would be over your $2000 mark, so I will assume the EZ EFI. I am not sure about all ofthe sensors Edelbrock uses, but this should get you on the right track:

302000 EZ EFI Multi-port kit with ecu, wiring harness, and wideband O2 sensor $918.69
307022 Ford to GM IAC adapter housing $99.70
307014 GM screw-in type IAC motor $52.45

You will have to cut our TPS connector off of the harness and attach yours.

Remember the EZ does not control spark timing like the Pro-Flo(or our XFI), so you will need to get an old school type distributor with vacuum/mechanical advance.

ok i now have the kit looks very good i'll be making a start on fitting it tomorrow . one small question though how does the kit work out the firing order for the injectors as its a chevy kit thats going on a ford 347ci roller cam motor (351 firing order engine) will i need to do anything to get firing order correct or will it self confiure
regards mark

The EZ multi-port kit is bank to bank, so firing order is not crucial like on a sequential system.

Just hook it up and go.
