Default ez-efi tech question?
My ez-efi falls on its face at wot from a stop and sometimes will stall after backing off the gas. Its on a sbc 400 with a msd 6al box and pro billet disy. The motor is built for torque and i dont turn it over 5500 rpm. If i hammer it from a stop it takes off like its at about 1/4 throttle after about 2500 rpm it starts pullin hard and winds out with ease. Ive tried messing with the accell fuel wot a/f ratio and same results. Any ideas?

I have 383 motor MSD6AL and Pro Billet Dizzy. I had a similar issue. The acceleration thing was cured for me by setting accel fuel to minus 2.

Thanks webby, but let me ask you this should the accel fuel show an immediate response or does it take some driving to get the computer to learn it. I only ask because I played with it some bet never left it set in one spot very long.

adjustments to accel fuel make an instant change.. Although learning will still go on.
If you have errors they must be solved before continuing. System cannot work if errors are appearing.

I've had this thing on here 4 a month and never had that happen b4. I also have no codes. Other than the lack of power on takeoff everything seems to work great.

That is probably a good thing.
Most errors are caused by interference from other stuff on the car (normally plugs/coil etc) and occur from day 1 and can be a pain to diagnose and cure.
Your error having just shown up should be easy enough to trace and cure. The unit should tell you what has caused the error. Maybe a wire has come off or chafed through or something.
Don't get too fixated by the numbers in the unit. I am now running an 8 injector manifold so my numbers could well be different. When you have fixed error are you able to get somebody to look at display whilst you are under prolonged acceleration to see what it reads on the A/F? Ignition timing might also cause this power loss. I was sure my timing was good until I checked it! Also check that timing is advancing when you rev engine. I managed to jam the advance weights in my dizzy by using too long screws on the rotor.
Not too sure about actual error codes as I've never had one.

Yea i know all about the interference problems i recently fixed mine be moving the harness around front away from the dizzy. At wide open throttle during the bog my a/f is about 12.8. I ckecked my timing yesterday b4 proceding. I still have the factory mechanical setup in my distributor only because im not sure what to change it to.

Webby i hope your on fast's payroll cauz your the only one to reply to my request for help. Just wanted to say thanks and as an update i put in the 2 blue springs as per msd's advice and ive gotten rid of part of my bog problem. I changed the accel fuel around and that doesnt seem to help so for sh!ts and g!ggles im going to change to the lightest springs tomorrow and see what happens.
