Default Fast classic strange problems
Hello, I have had the FAST Classic system on my SBC for about 10yrs now. I am having some problems:

1. When connecting PC to ECU and the engine is running, the idle will get very erratic or vehicle will stall, it starts right back up. occasionally when it does stall, the fuel pump stays on.

2. Timing at idle is correct, but it is off 4 degrees retarded as rpm is increases, never reaches the target timing. but when releasing throttle it goes to max degrees. I have tried new cap, rotor, timing chain, ignition module. its an MSD small cap HEI. I have tried setting the crank reference signal, but not sure if im doing it correct.

Please respond.

John

Hello John,

I spoke with you on the telephone this morning, and we decided that you should move you main FAST grounds to the battery.

Let me know what happens.

Thanks
