Default Fast dual wideband sim. narrow output?
Hello everybody,

Simple question, I just bought a fast dual wideband kit. And because my 81 Corvette has a O2 sensor I need the simulated narrowband output to keep the ecu happy.

The only problem is the instructions aren't very clear on that part.
I think I can use one of the 0 - 5 volt outputs from each connector by getting the 2 wires from under the black tubing and hook this up to the normal O2 sensor input. Is this correct?

Greetings Peter

Narrow band O2 is usually a 0-1v output.

You would use one of the analog outputs from only one of the wideband cables(the wires under the heatshrink)only. It will feed a simulated 0-1 volt signal out to convert the wideband reading to what your ecu wants to see from a narrow band. You will have to turn the meter on and enable the analog outputs and select the narrow band option to use this each time you drive the vehicle though. Sometimes it's easier to just weld a seperate bung in for the wideband for monitoring.

Thanks for the replies. Now I can start and see if my Q-jet is off track by much.

The two wires under the heatshrink are black and grey.
I assumed the grey one is the Oxygen signal wire and the black one is ground?

You are correct.

Gray is signal and black is ground.
