Default FAST EZ-EFI Testimonials
After extensive in-house testing in the FAST R&D department, the new EZ-EFI is now ready for primetime. Some of the top engine builders and EFI experts in the country have taken delivery on the first production units and the feedback has been tremendous. Stay tuned for testimonials from some of the following experts:

Butler Performance – dyno test on big-inch Poncho motor

Dave Henninger – GM Racing / EFI expert; vehicle install on 540 inch BBC in a Suburban, daily driver, 20 degree Michigan weather

Bob Ream – owner Imagine Injection and FAST dealer; installed on 502

Richard Nedbal, FAST MAN EFI – FAST dealer

Cal Hartline, Hartline Performance – FAST dealer, installed on an Airboat

Default My First Experience with the FAST EZ-EFI - Richard Nedbal
I have been tuning port injected EFI systems for many years and during that time I have had to replace several throttle body injection systems. So I was somewhat skeptical about FAST's new EZ-EFI which is not only a throttle body injection system, but it was supposed to learn the engine and self tune itself. Nevertheless, throttle body systems are very appealing because you don't have to remove the intake manifold.

One of my potential customers volunteered their 1969 Camaro with a 383 stroker whose fuel system was already plumbed for EFI, meaning a 43 PSI fuel feed, an EFI regulator, and a fuel return line back to the tank. We bolted on the EZ-EFI, entered the engine parameters via the handheld programmer (no laptop is used), and fired up the engine. It started out on the rich side, but after warming up and driving around, the engine tune got better and better as the EZ-EFI zeroed in on the target air fuel ratio. The target air fuel ratio is user adjustable at various engine load conditions. We were done in about an hour with minimal user interaction. There goes my tuning business!

Default EZ-EFI Testimonial - Butler Performance
"I first approached Chris Mays of COMP Cams/FAST at the 2008 PRI show about a more simple and user friendly EFI system to offer our customers. We have been using the FAST XFI system with great success for several years now (on everything from our mild street Pontiac engines to our 2800 HP twin turbo Pontiac on alcohol) but I was looking for something that anyone could use without having to tune with a laptop.

Chris told me about the new FAST EZ-EFI system and explained that if was a true bolt-on system with no manual tuning required - only a few parameters needed to be entered on the hand-held controller. We have seen less than desirable results with other "self-learning" EFI systems so I was skeptical.

Despite my initial concerns, we set up a dyno test on one of our 461 cubic inch pump gas Pontiacs. We did a base line test using a Holley HP carb and after tuning, the engine made 572 HP. Ron and the guys from FAST then bolted on the EZ-EFI system in a matter of a few minutes, entered a few engine parameters in the programmer and the engine cranked right up.

After letting it idle for a few minutes, they made a full dyno pull. It made 570.5 HP on the FIRST PULL and came back down to a perfect idle. After a couple more pulls, the results got even better – in fact the engine finished up with an additional 3-4 peak HP and a great torque curve.

Needless to say, we were impressed and plan to test the system on even higher HP engines in the near future. I think we've found the perfect EFI system for our Pontiac muscle car customers. Bottom line, the EZ-EFI is actually quicker and easier to tune than a carb."
