Default Fuel hose kit
I would strongly recommend that sell a more pliable hose in the kit with those push lock fittings. It is next to impossible to bottom the hose on the fittings. I bought the fuel hose kit and I'm going to buy a more pliable hose locally.
Just a suggestion...
Steve

try a little dielectric grease, it works well for assembly.

It might but as a customer that paid over $200.00 cdn landed for this kit I am not happy. I purchased this kit as I didn't want to have to run around to get this and that. I just wanted to put this thing together. I wound up doing it anyway. I'm not pissed,( I'm not happy though) other than the hose deal the install is going fine (still pretty early in the go though). I wound up buying Aeroquip 300 psi hose. Its pliable and fits tight on the barbs.

Default FAST instructions Addendum for fuel line assembly
Hey Guys, I saw your concerns with the fuel lines and wanted to let you know that FAST is adding an addendum to the assembly instructions to address this. I talked to Fragola, the manufacturers of the fuel line and fittings, and they told us the best way to install them is the put the end of the hose into boiling water to soften it and then with gloves push it on the end of the fitting. The instruction sheet we got from them initially didn't include this. Our guys in-house tried it and it works much better. You will still need to put a little lube on the barbs.

This hose and fittings are actually VERY high quality and is made by Fragola who it a top of the line supplier in that market. That is why we chose them for this product. These lines HAVE to be perfectly sealed and hold up or we all know what the result would be.
