Just ready to reassemble my gen 6 vortec 454. Its in my fishin truck..lol I bought comp cams k01-415-8,XR270HR-13. Also purchased PART #1620-16 rockers, aswell as fast PART #170382 programmer. Just curious if theres gonna be any issues with the "uncle sam" 02 sensors? I also bought a set of Dougs headers for the project. The motor has 82k miles and what created this project was a leaky intake gasket and a funny valvetrain noise. The valve train noise turned out to be a hyd roller lifter that started to come apart. I decided to pull the motor out and replace all the bearings inside of it. Iv heard horror stories bout the antifreeze taking out the bearings. Iv owned this truck since it had 10k miles and iv always ran synthetic in it. I was really amazed how clean the inside of the motor is. Anybody that has done a vortec 454 and kept the oem FI i would love to hear from ya.. Should be ready to fire it up this next weekend. Thanks Mike..

Default Wont run right
From idle to wot it goes to a full rich condition. If you hold the rpms bout 1500 or higher it will rev without going full rich. Did figure out that every once in a while the egr motor gets stuck causing the ide to be crappy. Tech 2 showed the egr code. Could my exhaust have too much backpressure? I found zero exhaust leaks. My friend with the tech 2 scanner is helping me but all hes done is oem chevy stuff the performance upgrades is new to him. He is going to give me the recorded info from his tech 2 so as soon as i get it ill post it up.The scanner showed no codes while these events happened. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
