Default HP change when upgrading to perimeter plate
I have a 1972 Chevy C-10 that I drag race. It has a 454 with a 250hp NOS Cheater kit. Right now it runs consistent high 10's. I want to upgrade the NOS plate to a Zex Perimeter plate. Will there be a HP increase just from switching to the Zex plate? I use 93 nitrous and 102 fuel jets with the 250hp setup with 8 degrees of retard. What should the starting point be when switching to the Zex plate? I'm aiming for mid 10's. Thanks.

The Zex plate comes with a jetting chart for all different makes and brands of nitrous systems. You would simply swap your jet holders into the Zex plate and use the same jets to start. You may not see a hp number increase, but the initial hit and distribution of nitrous will be felt. The nitrous will be more consistent and it flows much better, so I would think that you would see a little increase in power just using the same jetting and it should show on the time slip.

When in doubt, use more nitrous!
