Red face Hydr. lifters
After reassembly of engine w/fresh heads on a 351W, what is the best way to adjust the valves when I forgot to bleed the Comp flat tappet lifters?

I normally tighten the rocker nuts down until the springs are cracked open a little and let the spring pressure bleed the lifters down.

Hey William. Is recommended, at all, to adjust the valves while the engine is running? If so, best method?

It is really not recommended anymore. The tolerances have gotten really tight on the plungers and the slightest bit of overtightening will hurt the internals of the lifter. You can still do it, but you just need to be really careful not to overtighten them while doing it that way.
