Default Increasing Shift Points
I have an AOD with a B&M shift kit, installed by previous owner. What do you have that I can put in to increase the shift points to approx 6000 rpm? Can I use one of your valve bodies to accomplish this?

Thanks,

Chuck

Chuck,
The valve body will make a shift when governor pressure over comes the throttle pressure. To increase the shift RPM you will need to raise the throttle pressure by tightening the TV cable up. although in doing this the part throttle shift may get to firm. The next thing you can do is change the weights in the governor but in fords it is easier said than done. We do offer a recalibration kit for it but i cant guaranty any certain RPM i just can guaranty that it will raise the shift point. The last option is to get a full manual valve body which we do not offer. I hope this helped you out. feel free to call, email, or respond with further questions.
