Default Install help...
I'm about half way through installing my zex g8 gt kit and have run into some issues. The directions are unclear on where to get the power for the arming switch. I'm assuming I should get it from the fuse box but there's about 3 different plugs on two different wires? Which ones go where? What the heck?

Thanks in advance for your help!
Justin

Three different plugs on two different wires? What all are you installing? You simply find a power source (switched or battery +12V, I prefer battery), run the fused wire from your +12V source to the switch, then run the other side of the switch to the red wire on the box. That is that on wiring that portion of it.

"You simply find a power source (switched or battery +12V, I prefer battery), run the fused wire from your +12V source to the switch,"

You have to realize that when you advertise an easy install for novices you have to be clear in your directions. What does this quoted statement mean? I know (from reading online- not from your directions because it isn't mentioned) that you can get power from the battery. But my battery is in the trunk so I'd rather not wire it through the cabin that far. I want to get power from (to quote the directions) "under the dash." I assume this means the fuse box- the red connector on the end of the fused wire from the arming switch doesn't fit anywhere in my fuse box. Where does it plug into?

Thanks again for your help.

To take power directly from a fuse, you would need to purchase the correct connector from an auto parts store. They make a connector that will slide over the fuse and give you a post to connect to. The pieces we supply with the kit will get the job done correctly, but you will have to find an actual wire that has a 12V signal and use a T-tap to connect to the wire itself. You can not use the parts in our kit to connect directly to a fuse as we do not recoomend that.
