Stangdriver1119,
Our pro super kit is all you need to make that trans hold up to the abuse of 500-600hp. The 4r70w is a good overdrive unit that just needs good quality rebuild parts inside! The pro super kit includes all the rebuild parts and includes our Trans Scat shift kit as well. Feel free to call or email with any other questions.

Thanks

Russ

Thanks Russ! Its nice to know its all in one kit. But you don't think I need a stronger input shaft or anything?

Input shaft we do not offer nor is it necessary for what you have. I think a good rebuild with our pro super will do you wonders. Thanks you for your interest in TCI.

Not a bad transmission in stock form as long as you're not making above 430 HP at the wheels. this was told to me by one of the former Ford engineers who designed this trans, and I put 400 RWHP to one of these successfully for 40,000+. Just be careful with the O/D gear as far as hitting it with full throttle upshifts, and especially full throttle downshifts out of Overdrive. They have weak overdrives and you'll kill it with that power level.

Yeah I knew the stock 4R70W was pretty stout but I just put in a built motor and now I'm making much more than 400 rear wheel horsepower
