We'd recommend that you double check the fluid level first. If it's up to the proper level, then you should check the shifter adjustment. Make sure that the transmission lever is properly engaging each detent position.

Question
here's the thing I bought 3 gals. of your trans fluid with the trans and torque convertor and when i got the car back from the shop that put the trans in for me i got back about 1\2 gal of fluid. now i find out the trans takes 12.5 quarts of fluid this brings 2 questions to mind 1 if that low on fluid how does it go. and 2 does that amount take in for the lines and cooler thanks for any help

The bigger the trans cooler, the more volume of fluid that it will hold. To know for sure if your transmission is full, we recommend that you check the fluid volume with the car on level ground. The engine should be running and the transmission warmed.

now there's fluid leaking around the shift rod where it comes out of the transmission. I'm really disapointed with this transmission. it's just one problem after another because nothing seems to work
