Having such an unbelievable wealth of knowledge on EFI and motor tuning, I was wondering if I could get your opinion on something?

Could you read this post on yellowbullet and let me know what you think?

Truck is a mid mount S400SX3-75 408ci stroker Dodge Dakota. XFI controlled, TKO600 5spd trans. Thanks, I appreciate any input you might have.

Hello, I am new to the forum I am helping a friend install a new Fast XFI 2.0 on a mild SBC with a pertronix dist and have a few questions about how to hook it up.
I need advice connecting the distributor.
I have the #301300 harness. Would I connect the dist to the crank side and use the #301300 on the cam side?
I am thinking I would connect the tach output from the dist but am wondering where to connect it.

What do I do with the points wire?

Also if I want to use bank fire. would I need to connect all odd injector wires together and all even together or just one odd and one even to each bank?

    Thanks in advance.

    4. Logging. If you are using DS input , it would be nice to have a converter slip % logging parameter, as if your know DS rpm and engine rpm you can calculate slip.

    5. An optional AUX output when EGT temps exceed a warning set point you can program in. Also an option to set a fault code and cause boost duty cycle to go to minimum upon fault.

    6. Optional WOT lockup for TCC.

    7. When learning is active in the fuel map the VE number should turn a different color.

Hi Brian, thanks for your response to my post. Also I have sent a list of things that I would like to see in future versions of 2.0 to the guys over at Fast. If your curious here is the list:

    1. lean cruise feature based on MPH , in which the timing can be advanced, and a/f locked to a leaner a/f ratio at low tps/ or kpa values with thresholds for on and off.

    2. Or have a timing advance PA for PA mode not just retard if the above can't be done. Or have the ability to input a negative number for timing retard, which would mean timing advance.

    3. The ac compressor clutch should have also a fuel enrichment %parameter, as idle rpm boost does not add extra fuel which is needed sometimes to keep things stable.

    continued next post....

Hi Brian.I'm looking to have someone fine-tune my XFI system. I've found a fellow in Quebec who has tuned everything but FAST, but is confident he will sort things out. He goes by Dynodoc (Brady Moffatt). I beleive he has corresponded with you a number of times on various forums. Any feedback on him? Anyone in the Toronto area you could recommend? One fellow has already taken my money and I'm hoping to get it right the second time. Thanks for your help. You can reply directly to wdemelo@cogeco.ca
    Thanks

Hi Brian It seems like you have a lot of experience with the EZ-EFI so maybe you might have thought of this. What do you think about the idea of using the EZ-EFI on top of a Weiand 144 supercharger on a SB 350? My small block is a low compression non vortec heads. Have you heard of anyone doing this? It seems like it should be able to spray well enough. I just wounder if there would be any "learning" issues. Thanks
