Default Metal Powder in Pan
I recently rebuilt my first TH350 trans with one of your kits. After assembly everything ran fine. I removed the transmission after about 100 miles for a motor issue. When I drained the oil and removed the converter I noticed very small metal particles in the oil. Looked like metalics you would add to paint.

There was a small layer on the bottom of the pan and I could see some floating in the oil in the converter.

This trans is mounted behind a 400hp motor. Is this normal after a new rebuild? Do you recommend any action before reinstalling into car?

Thanks.

sibon3,
Typically you will see that after a fresh rebuild. What you need to be worried about is chunks of aluminum or larger chunks of friction material.

Thanks
