Default need some help finishing a t-com installation
Hi. We have a 69 camaro in shop with a 4L60 and the TCI trans controller. I'm looking for a complete wiring schematic - we got this car dumped on us with everything half installed and no instructions with the car. I think I have everything hooked up right. The control unit communicates with my laptop, but I can't drive the car yet to finalize the tune. I have a few extra wires that are not labeled that I would like to know what they are/where they go, or if they're even used on my application. I also would like to know if there is an output for a speedometer signal. This car is using an autometer electronic speedo. Thanks for your help.

Is it a red box or grey box?

Go to http://www.tciauto.com/Products/TC-%...nics%27-1.aspx

Click on software and you can download the software that also includes the wiring schematics.

I have the gray box. I have the software in my laptop and have been thru the wiring pictures. There isn't a pinout of the connector to the box - i'm looking for a speed sensor signal so I can hook up the speedometer. Can I use the SCU connection for this, or is there another wire? The car is pretty much finished - we didn't put it together and I don't want to start tearing everything apart if I don't have to. If there is a seperate wire that's not the SCU connector, I would like to know what color it is and if it comes from the main connector or not (makes it easier to chase so I don't have to tear the car apart).

Thanks

Ryan

edit: dunno if it's relevant, but i'll add - the engine is an LS2 with an MEFI4B controller. It's all seperate from the trans control system.

Ryan,
Yes the center wire on the SCU will work. Here is a wiring diagram for the Gen1 Box,

thanks

This schematic is a big help for me, too. However, it doesn't show the SCU connector wiring.

What are the wires in the SCU connector? Does the red wire on the SCU connector supply switched 12V? And is the black ground?

Thanks.

Sorry for the late reply, had a bunch more work to do the car before the road test. I hooked up the center wire of the SCU connector to my speedo signal pin. Did the road test and speedo calibration. Speedo is working great! Thanks for your help!
