Question NMU won't retrain after fuse blew
Hello,

I recently installed the #82176 Hemi Truck Nitrous System on my 2005 Dodge Ram Daytona pickup. The install went without a hitch and I sprayed three 10lb bottles. About a week later, I realized the system wasn't working. I started checking things and found that the 15amp power fuse was blown, and replaced it. The solenoids still didn't kick in at WOT, so I decided to retrain the NMU. I reset it, and the light went to red. Tried several times to retrain it the same way I did the first time. No dice.

Anyone have any ideas? This system is new. I work as a PC tech and am very familiar with electronics in general. It seems to me that this NMU is most likely defective. Should I send the NMU in for RMA repair/replacement?

I would start with checking all your connections to insure that nothing is ground in the same place and there is no debris or paint preventing proper connection. If the wirring is good then you can send it in under waranty consideration to have us check out. If the box has gone bad for some reason and it is less than a year from date of purchase. You will need to call the Tech Line to get a RMA number and you will need a copy of your invoice for your order.
