Default No Spark FAST classic
I am getting no spark with my speed pro ECU. I purchased the ECU with an engine a while back and am finally getting around to finishing it up. At first I thought it was something that I may have wired wrong but that checks out to be ok. I connected to the ECU with my lap top and in the dash board display I get a signal (RPM) while cranking. But I have no signal going to my coil. I thought maybe my MSD box was bad, so I sent it in to be repaired.
I just got my MSD back and wired it back in, and still no signal. MSD is deffinately working, I disconnected my points wire(from the MSD) and touched a ground, and I was able to get spark from the coil wire. Is there something that I am missing or does it sound like that I am not getting a signal from the points output wire from the ECU? and how do I check the points output wire?

Thanks in advance
Lonnie

Is your ecu set up for the ignition you are using?

As far as I know yes. The msd box came with the whole motor package. How do I find out for sure?

That model should have a working points output. You can test the output by connecting a test light between a 12V source and the points out wire. If it's not working, the points out driver in the ECU may be bad.
