Default PG v. Turbo 400
I need some advice on what tranny to run behind for 1970 street/strip Nova. This is the relevant info about the car:

1. It weighs 3360 with a powerglide at race weight.
2. I run a 496 BBC that dynoed at 817 hp and 685 tq.
3. The car has a 4.56 rear gear.
4. I run both Mickey Thompson Radials (315) and 29.5x10.5 slicks.
5. The car is mini-tubbed with ladder bars and single adjustable shocks.

I have a PG in it now, but I am going to order a new converter. That is where I am at, do I buy the converter for the PG, or will things be better with the turbo 400? I have also been told that the PG will break quickly under the power and weight of the car. The PG has a transbrake and stock gearset.

Any good advice would be appreciated. Also, any converter input would be helpful as well.

Thanks in advance
