running a longer nitrous line for softer hit

Hi guys, in a video I saw Fastimes motorworks installed a longer nitrous line and mentioned it would give the system a softer hit, is this true?
I have tried to find the braided nitrous line in an 18 inch but to no avail. I have the perimeter plate system on a 496 BBC. Can you tell me who manufactures these lines, it seems my guy cannot find -3 ends on -4 lines from any of the other braided line manufactures.

I know there are some people out there that make there own custom length lines I am just not sure who to direct you too at the moment. I will look around and see if I can find someone that makes that piece though and get back to you.
