Hi,
i have installed the ZEX wet kit #82021 on my Mercury Cougar SVT (the Ford Countor SVT has the same engine) and i get the P0420 mil on which probably means that the mixture is too rich. I'm using the 32 / 17 jets included.
The car is running at wot rich computed by the ecu. Which jet size should i use bewaring running too lean. Could it also be another problem? The mil get on after i have disabled nitrous.
Do you know what fuel pressure you are running with your application? Do you know what your bottle pressure was at when this accured? Have you checked to insure the solenoid is spraying both fuel and nitrous?

Code P0420 is actually a catalyst efficiency code. There are two normal causes of this code. One is malfunctioning oxygen sensors, and the other is a failed catalytic converter. Now the n2o could have caused these components to fail due to an icrease in heat, or a possible misfire if nitrous plugs weren't used. It is very unlikely you are dealing with a rich condition.
